Logistical Engineer

The aims of the educational program

The aims of the post-secondary professional study in the program logistical engineer is to assure the future graduates wide professional theoretical and practical knowledge which shall be useful for performing professional duties in the field of logistics engineering. The students will be qualified to monitor the branch of business and will get the generic and professional competence from the field of logistics.

Conditions of entry

The post-secondary professional program can enter the person who:

  • finished the general or vocational final examination or finished adequate education according to former rules or
  • passed the master, managerial or foreman examination, has three years of working experiences and passed the test of the knowledge in general subjects as it is defined for the secondary professional education.

The location of the study

The program business secretary is being performed in two locations:

  • in Ljubljana, Traffic Center B&B, d. o. o., Letališka 16, or
    - in Kranj, B&B, d. o. o., Ljubljanska c. 30.

  • Adaptability of the time: the way of the study makes the regular work possible because the study is adapted to the education of the adults. The lectures and the exams are twice to three times a week in the afternoon. In the time of the school vacation the students are free.
  • The status of special student: a participant in the education has the status of the special student with all the rights and benefits of the status, for example the discounts for the students, work through the student service when the student isn’t registered with employment offices as job seeker or isn’t regularly employed.
  • Costless material: a student gets in printed or electronic format all the material which the lecturers prepare.
  • Electronic student office: a student gets at the entry the username and the passwords to enter the electronic student office where they can enter for an examination, check the alert examination periods, see the marks and get the electronic study literature.
  • SMS messages: a student gets messages about the marks on the examinations and all the changes of the study through the SMS.
  • Favorable payment terms: the participants of the education can pay the tuition in 20 monthly installments.
  • The year-long schedule: the dates of the lectures and examination periods are defined for a year in advance so that the participants can plan the participation.
  • The lecture rooms are modernly equipped, the access is easy.

The dates of entry

The entry is taking place. You can get the fee and enter in the office of our post secondary professional school.

The course and organization of the education

  • The study according the post-secondary professional program lasts two years and shall be in the second year apportioned in substantially different modules. It is finished with the graduation exam.
  • The lectures take place from October to June, during the school vacation there are neither lectures nor exams.
  • The lectures and exams are organized twice to three times a week in the afternoon.
  • They are modular; after the complex of the subject comes the first examination period and at the same time the lectures of another subject start.
  • All the study is practical: during the study the students analyze the practical cases and have the professional excursions.
  • The students who have at least two years of practical experiences we acknowledge the subject practical education on the basis of preliminarily gained knowledge and appropriate evidence.

The finish of the education

To gain the level of education a student has to pass all the examinations, practical education and graduation examination which consists from the graduation work and its defense. The theme of the graduation work is suggested by the student and confirmed by the lecturer of the post-secondary school as the mentor. The students get the detailed instructions for the graduation work in the beginning of the second year of the study.

The price and possibilities to pay

The school fee includes all the lectures, passing the examination three times, literature, mentorship for the graduation work with the defense of the graduation work and the student card. The price of the program post-secondary professional school is 1.377,07 EUR per year.

The costs of entry are paid every school year, they are 125,19 EUR. The board of B&B, ltd., defines the school fee for every school year.

The participants can settle their financial obligations in more ways:

  • in unique payment,
  • in twenty sequential monthly installments, one installment is 146,22 EUR,
  • payment on the basis of the order form of the company or the entrepreneur,
  • payment on the basis of the written order of the employment service (Zavod za zaposlovanje Slovenije) for the unemployed.

The lecturers

The lecturers are our cooperators of many years and have a lot of entrepreneurial experience and are valued as lecturers also in international environment. They are mostly leaders of various sectors in ministries, managers of logistic centers, bigger forwarding and financial companies and national institutions. The best known are: Logistical Center BTC, Ministry of Traffic, Ministry of Home Affairs, Goodyear, Slovenian Railway (Slovenske železnice), Institute RS of Education, Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia, DARS, bigger financial consultancies, insurance companies and other national institutions.

The lecturers of post-secondary professional school are appointed by the Scientific Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational and Technical Education. They all are pedagogically and andragogically educated.

The lectures are enriched with the modern techniques and working methods which make the study more efficient and attractive and with the guest lecturers which are glad to respond our invitation. We accent the case studies and exchange of experiences. In the frame of the practical education we organize two longer excursions in abroad and shorter ones intended to know bigger Slovenian enterprises from the practical point of view.
