Renewing Code 95

Code 95 Renewal

Regular training is required to renew the basic qualification – Code 95, which all professional drivers must have to perform public passenger transport and public freight transport with vehicles over 3,500 kg.

Code 95 is valid for five years from the date it is obtained. To renew it, drivers must complete periodic training. This training must be done every five years for a total of 35 hours, or drivers can complete at least 7 hours of training each year over five years.

Renewal process

Regular training can be completed either once every five years for the previous five-year period, or gradually each year. Each individual training session lasts seven hours and is carried out as a course based on the official programme for renewing Code 95.

Once you complete the full 35 hours of regular training, the authorised training centre where you finished your last seven-hour session will issue a certificate. To receive this certificate, you must present all five original confirmations of completed training sessions. With this certificate, you can renew the validity of Code 95 at the administrative unit.

If your Code 95 has already expired, you must complete 35 hours of regular training following the programmes required for the previous five years, counted from the year in which you want to renew the qualification.
