In Slovenia, the tertiary education system is divided into higher vocational college, college and higher education (university level).
At the B&B Educational Center, we offer a variety of College and Higher Vocational College programmes.
Higher Vocational College programmes last two years and are highly practice-oriented, enabling students to quickly gain useful skills and competences for direct entry into the labour market. These programmes focus on specific professions and therefore include extensive practical training with employers.
College programmes usually last three to four years and combine professional and theoretical knowledge. They provide a broader understanding of the field, support the development of analytical thinking, and prepare students for further studies or more demanding professional roles.
The main difference between Higher Vocational College and College programmes lies in their level of complexity and focus:
Higher Vocational College programmes are shorter and strongly practice-oriented, while College programmes are longer and more academically oriented.
